About the Job
The Engagement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring overall revenue growth and retention within Akamai's accounts. This role is responsible for the successful deployment of Akamai’s solutions for customers, and overall customer satisfaction. The Engagement Manager is an integral part of the sales cycle, collaborating with the Account Executive to expand the breadth and depth of Akamai services adoption. This role also provides oversight during implementations to mitigate project risk and increase the value realized by Akamai’s customers.
About the Team
The Engagement Management organization is focused on maximizing customer satisfaction and growth by building and maintaining strong customer relationships. We drive the adoption of Akamai services with existing customers, ensure the successful delivery/implementation of new services, and reinforce the value delivered to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of contact for the customer managing executive level client relationships, and provide team oversight during the implementation of projects.
- Perform Technical Pre-sales activities on assigned accounts.
- Team effectively with other parts of the organization including Support and Product Management to address and resolve customer issues.
- Participate in operational issues related to specific engagements, including billing, staffing, scheduling, utilization management, etc.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree.
- Overall Experience: minimum of 5 years.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience delivering consulting services, including involvement in selling services or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with enterprise level project management experience (SOWs, contract management, risk management, staffing) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing and enhancing client relationships or equivalent experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Detailed knowledge of Internet technologies, such as HTTP, DNS, Streaming, etc.
- Experience with products and processes related to commerce and internet sites.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive level presence and experience in facilitation
- A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions, and a passion for excellence.
